Chocolate Protein Brownies
Here's another favourite of mine that gives you that protein fix you need and, again, it's so easy to make!
I've tried and tested so many different recipes and trust me, you DO NOT want to use only pea protein. As fantastic as pea protein is, carrying a fantastic high level of amino acids and great for baking, the taste is awful.
So here is my recipe, tried and tested and it's yummy if I do say so myself:
- 1½ cups unsweetened almond milk - 15 medjool dates (pitted) - 2 scoops super pea protein - 2 scoops chocolate whey protein (or your choice of alternative flavour) - ½ cup cacao powder - ½ cup coconut flour - 1 cup liquid egg whites - 1 tsp baking powder - 3oz walnuts
Blend all together and pour into a brownie tray that has some good depth and cook for 40 mins at 160 degrees. Here's my lovely brownies cooling on the tray. Can't wait to eat them with approx. 66 calories per square. Makes about 50 brownies - Enjoy!
