Expresso Protein Balls

You know how much I'm a big fan of protein balls. Here’s another quick and easy, no baking required, recipe for you to try 'Espresso Protein Balls'. A perfect pre-workout boost or a handy snack to keep you going throughout the day.

These little power bites can replace your usual pre-workout drink and wake up your routine with a burst of energy.


Store them in the fridge, and they’ll stay fresh for up to two weeks.


Method:

  1. Dissolve the instant coffee granules/powder in 2 tablespoons of boiling water. Stir well and let it cool for 10 minutes.

  2. In a food processor, blitz your nuts and oats until finely grounded, then transfer to a separate bowl and add the remaining ingredients.

  3. Gradually add the black coffee liquid and mix well until the mixture clumps together.

  4. Roll into 20 small balls, and they are reading for eating - enjoy!



Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp instant black coffee powder/granules

  • ½ cup chopped almonds

  • ¾ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup raisins

  • 1/4 cup dried unsweetened coconut flakes

  • 2 tbsp natural almond butter

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder 


Calories: 81 calories per ball

Macros:- 6g carbs, 4g protein, 4g fat, 2g fibre
