Mint Chocolate Protein Balls
Yes, folks, I’ve been experimenting again with my much-loved, no-bake, easy-to-make protein ball recipes.
This time, I’m offering two variations of Mint Chocolate Protein Balls—with or without a melted chocolate coating.
The recipe makes 12 balls, with each ball containing just 33 calories (without the chocolate coating) and the macros are:
3g carbs,
3g protein,
1g fat,
1g fibre
Here’s the ingredients you’ll need to make these tasty treats:
1 scoop (30g) mint chocolate protein powder
50g ground almonds (or your preferred nuts)
2 tbsp maple syrup (or swap with dates if you prefer)
2 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp ground linseeds
1 tsp peppermint extract
Optional extras:
Add green food colouring for a festive touch.
Roll in melted chocolate and top with Dr. Oetker's Christmas sprinkles for a fun, seasonal finish.
Simply blend all the dry ingredients together in a food processor and empty into a mixing bowl. Add the wet ingredients and mix together to bind well. If you need more liquid add a bit more syrup. Roll into 12 balls (or if you prefer use an ice-cream scoop) and put them in the fridge to keep fresh. If you wish to roll the balls in melted chocolate freeze them first for about 20 minutes before doing so. Enjoy creating these delicious, guilt-free treats!
